1. Who we are
WDS ('we', 'us') is a design and engineering studio that designs and builds websites, product interfaces and software for startups and companies worldwide. We are a remote studio based in India.
2. Scope and prices
Prices on this site are starting prices. The scope, price and timeline of each project are confirmed in a written scope or agreement before any work starts. If the scope changes, we agree the change in writing first.
3. Payments
Prices are in US dollars (USD) unless your agreement says otherwise. Launch Page projects are billed 50% to start and 50% at launch; larger projects 40% to start, 30% when you approve the design and 30% at launch. Care plans are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time. We accept card and bank transfer (for example through Stripe or Wise). Each party pays its own bank and transfer fees and its own taxes.
4. Design-direction guarantee
After the deposit we present three design directions. If you don't want to go ahead with any of them, tell us before build work starts and we refund the deposit in full. Once you approve a direction, the deposit is non-refundable.
5. Ownership
When the final invoice is paid, you own the final design and code we made for you, and they live in your accounts (for example your GitHub and Vercel). We keep the right to reuse our own general tools, components and know-how, and to show the work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
6. Confidentiality
We keep your non-public information confidential and will sign a mutual NDA on request.
7. Limitation of liability
We aim to deliver reliable, secure work, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of any website, software or third-party service. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific project or plan giving rise to a claim.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, where WDS is based. If your signed project agreement names a different governing law or venue, the agreement takes precedence.
